EB-5 Visa: Pathway to U.S. Permanent Residency

Understanding the EB-5 Program

The EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program is designed to stimulate the U.S. economy through job creation and capital investment by foreign investors. Here’s a brief overview:

Investment Requirement:

Minimum Investment Amount: Invest at least $1.8 million, or $900,000 in a Targeted Employment Area (TEA) - a rural area or an area with high unemployment.

Job Creation Requirement:

Create or preserve at least 10 full-time jobs for qualifying U.S. workers within two years of the immigrant investor's admission to the United States.

New Commercial Enterprise (NCE):

The investment must be in a new commercial enterprise established after November 29, 1990, or in an existing business that’s been restructured or expanded.

Regional Center Program:

Investors can choose to invest through a USCIS-designated Regional Center, which is a third-party-managed investment vehicle focused on specific geographic areas and economic growth.

At Barrera Legal Group, we are dedicated to helping investors navigate the complexities of the EB-5 program.
