June 27, 2024, Approval of the Form I-821D, Application to Renew DACA Status

DACA Renewal Approval for Our Client

We are thrilled to announce that our client has received approval for their renewed DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) status. This approval, valid from June 27, 2024, to June 26, 2026, allows our client to remain in the United States under DACA status with work authorization for another two years.

What is DACA?
DACA is a policy that provides temporary protection from deportation and work authorization to eligible undocumented individuals who were brought to the United States as children. Approved DACA recipients are given a renewable two-year period of deferred action from deportation and are eligible for work permits.

DACA Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for DACA, applicants must meet several requirements, including:

Were under the age of 31 as of June 15, 2012.
Came to the United States before reaching their 16th birthday.
Have continuously resided in the United States since June 15, 2007, up to the present time.
Were physically present in the United States on June 15, 2012, and at the time of making your request for consideration of deferred action with USCIS.
Had no lawful status on June 15, 2012.
Are currently in school, have graduated or obtained a certificate of completion from high school, have obtained a General Education Development (GED) certificate, or are an honorably discharged veteran of the Coast Guard or Armed Forces of the United States.
Have not been convicted of a felony, significant misdemeanor, or three or more other misdemeanors, and do not otherwise pose a threat to national security or public safety.
Important Notice: USCIS Only Processing Renewals
Due to ongoing Federal Court litigation, USCIS is currently only processing DACA renewals. New DACA applications are not being accepted at this time. If you are a current DACA recipient, it is crucial to renew your status timely to continue receiving benefits.
